Hi, and welcome to the home of superheroes. Not only do we have Batman and Spider-Man lurking every now and then... We also have Korra, Pokemon, Naruto running amidst, and of course, members of Young Justice. And more. |
I love this costume. And I’d love a Supergirl movie. MAKE IT HAPPEN, PEOPLE.
Supergirl, by Jeff Chapman.
Young Roman Sionis came from a rich family, and his parents would drag him around to parties, forching him to be friends with the children of other wealthy Gothamites like the young Bruce Wayne. His parents hated other people like the Waynes, though, but put on almost social “masks” in public to seem like more charming people. Sionis hated the masks they wore&inherited the prosperous Janus Cosmetics Corporation after his parents died in a suspicious fire. Sionis quickly drove the company into the ground, leaving it open to a Wayne Industries buyout. Driven mad by losing his legacy, he turned his hatred on Wayne. Donning a mask carved from his father’s coffin and going by the name of Black Mask, he began murdering Wayne employees. In the ensuing battle with Batman, Sionis’s mask became permanently burned into his face as a living death mask. Over time, he became one of Gotham’s most ruthless crime lords, commanding the False Facers, a masked army of henchmen. With each subsequent loss to Batman, his empire shrank&sadism grew.

Returning to Gotham, Cassandra discovered not only had her adoptive family left on a year-long training trip without her but also Batman left a recently-cured Two-Face to protect the city in his stead. Despite this, Cain still retained the Batgirl persona&patrolled Gotham while staying at Wayne Manor under Alfred’s care. She gradually learned to read&write due to her attending ESL classes between her nightly activities; during one of these patrols, however, Deathstroke managed to inject her with a dose of his serum&influenced her to join him in a plan to form an army involving David Cain’s daughters. Under Slade’s order, she gained control of a part of the League of Assassins, killing Nyssa al Gul in the process. As leader of the League, she also, again under Wilson’s control, attempted to kill Supergirl&masterminded the escape of her father from prison. She was freed from the serum’s effects when Tim Drake injected her with an antiserum during a confrontation with the Teen Titans. Feeling partially responsible for what happened to her, Batman allowed Cain to return after a detoxification program&had her under strict curfew. Nightwing was not so accepting, regarding her with open hostility. When she seeked vengeance upon her father&Wilson, she had to do it secretly due to their mistrust but she was found out, resulting in her clashing with Dick&stealing the Batwing. The ordeal resulted in her being cleared from the suspicion of Wilson&her father’s influence&being officially adopted as Bruce’s daughter.
