On the second day of war, the Allied Shinobi Forces again engaged the Zetsu clones, who, by this time, impersonated their comrades. Neji was shocked to find the familiar chakra webs of Kidomaru; after freeing his allies, he spotted the reincarnated Sound ninja but overwhelmed him with his new long-ranged Gentle Fist. However, his victory was short-lived, as Kidomaru engulfed them in a strange seal. Hyuga’s body was left in a comatose state while his soul was sent to a new location within a large barrier. Inside, the inhabitants were able to battle normally, but the Sound Four informed their enemies that in time, their actual bodies’ halted chakra flow will eventually cause them to die; in addition, killing them will not undo the jutsu. Despite the initial stalemate, the Sound Four’s enhanced Cursed Seals grew even stronger from their accumulated malice, quickly overwhelming the Konoha team. Shikamaru began to intentionally provoke them, knowing Naruto’s new senses would pick up on it. Eventually, Uzumaki found&freed them, allowing Inoichi, through a telepathic connection, to break the technique&restore the gang to their bodies.
