Hi, and welcome to the home of superheroes. Not only do we have Batman and Spider-Man lurking every now and then... We also have Korra, Pokemon, Naruto running amidst, and of course, members of Young Justice. And more. |
One day, a young girl was trapped up in a tree. Diana rescued her&took her to her mother. After seeing the way the mom reacted to her daughter, Prince began to get homesick. Back home, she found the island was in ruins&all her sisters have been turned to stone. A sorcerer, Felix Faust, approached her. Prince confronted him &after a brief fight, she took him down but he told her if she hurt him, he’ll leave the Amazons the way they were. He claimed he only seeked knowledge but confessed he was the one who attacked Paradise Island. He went on to explain that he was looking for pieces of an artifact. He restored Hippolyta to her normal self but turned her back to stone, blackmailing Prince into gathering what he requested. Left with no other choice, she set out to search for the items. Prince searches for the first artifact in a museum. Obtaining it was easy enough until a statue of a gladiator came to life. After winning, the museum was left in tatters. Superman insisted that if she was going to be destroying public property, she should have a good reason. She reluctantly explained the situation&he, along with the other Leaguers, volunteered to help. Back on Themyscira, Faust talked to his unknown benefactor&the two were confident the world will soon be theirs. Batman researched Faust’s background&found out he was a professor of archaeology until he lost his position for dabbling in black magic&there was a reference to Tartarus. Prince realized Faust was working for Hades&explained that her mother had an affair with the god before being banished for betraying the others to the Titans. When Hades was freed, Faust demanded what was promised to him: ultimate knowledge. Smiling, Hades touched Faust, who began to age rapidly. Hades just said, “Ultimately, pain&suffering are all man will ever know.” Prince destroyed the key, causing the gate to close&suck in Hades, who attempted to drag Hippolyta along but Prince saved her in time. The victory turned out to be bittersweet; Hippolyta honored the Leaguers for their help, naming them “heroes of Themyscira.” However, because Prince broke the sacred law by bringing outsiders to the island, Hippolyta had no choice but to exile her. Though shaken by her mother’s decree, Prince accepted her ruling&departed from Themyscira with the other League members.

Known as the Fastest Man Alive, Flash gained his abilities when a bolt of lightning caused a rack of chemicals to shatter all over him. Flash can tap into the Speed Force, an entity that exists beyond time&made up of residual energy. Flash is able to tap into that energy, granting him the power to heal faster than the average person, vibrate his molecules through solid objects, and move close to the speed of light. He even has the power to move so fast that he can travel through time.

Diana Prince has many tools at her disposal. The most common one she exploits is strength to match that of even the mightiest characters. She has special bracelets capable of deflecting incoming attacks&a rope that forces those bound by it to speak the truth. One characteristic that sets her apart from others is that she is willing to kill for the greater good.
When you look at Superman, he has almost every power imaginable. Boring much? And Batman? No powers. Yeah, he’ll discover your weakness&exploit it by giving you seizures or heart attacks… But Flash? This man can travel at lightspeed, meaning that if you hear him running from Miami, he’d already be in Hawaii! Also, he could land more blows on your body with his fists than your wife ever could with her mouth! PLUS, he could go back&forth in time! Like, how do you beat this guy? You think you’ve got ‘im good&then suddenly, BAM! He prevented your mother from meeting your father thirty years ago&therefore, you were never born! That’s Flash. Summed up in a flash.
Hal Jordan was another founding member of the Justice League and the first human to be inducted to the Green Lantern Corps after being given a power ring by dying alien Abin Sur. He became the galactic officer to serve&protect all life in Sector 2814 (Earth). The power ring he uses is fueled by his own will&can create anything with it using his imagination. By tapping into the willpower of the universe, collected by the central battery which then disperses the power to the individual lanterns&onto rings themselves, Jordan can accomplish anything as long as he believes. Beware his power, Green Lantern’s light!
20% angel, 80% devil, down to earth.
Hawkgirl, by Eric Chen.
Aquaman receives a lot of flak&is often the butt of superhero jokes. He would earn your respect if given a chance, though. The king of Atlantis has command of the seas, far enhanced durability, eyesight, and physical prowess that rivals that of Superman. Trident in hand, he is a force to be reckoned with.
Nowadays, everyone’s juggling an offline&online persona, but only one guy is a literal marriage of tech&man. Half-human, half-machine, Victor Stone is Cyborg, a digital&physical tank&true hero for the modern age. Although a star athlete, Vic only yearned for his father’s approval, but his dad was too focused on his scientific career to notice until the day Stone became his greatest experiment. After Stone suffered a grave injury, his father saved him by replacing over half his body with cybernetic parts. Now, Cyborg is plugged into every computer on Earth, and no firewall or brick wall can keep him out. While his cybernetic enhancements provide superhuman strength, speed, and endurance, that same technology destroys his chances to live as a professional athlete. Now flourishing in the digital realm, Stone is desperately alone in the physical world&still longs for his father’s affection. Hungry to find purpose again, he fights alongside the Justice League. I recently started seeing Teen Titans Go!&it is the corniest but most funny-as-hell thing. Anyone else watch it?
Alakazam. Presto Chango. Abracadabra. How many magic words are staples of pop culture? Regardless of how you’re keeping score, only one has been featured in comics, shows, cartoons, toys, and video games for over seventy years. SHAZAM! Two syllables famous for magically turning a boy into a superhero. Unlike most foster children, Billy Batson couldn’t care less about finding a family. He just wanted to turn eighteen&become an adult. While the boy was compassionate, he’d gotten used to protecting himself by staying emotionally distant from everybody, but that changed when he met an ancient wizard who introduced him to one very powerful word. Just by saying “Shazam,” Batson was transformed into a magical flying adult, one with the genius of Solomon, the strength of Hercules, the unbreakable will of Atlas, the lightning blasts of Zeus, the power of Achilles, and the speed of Mercury. But gaining the power of the gods meant inheriting their enemies, too. With the abilities of the world’s mightiest mortal, Batson will have to struggle with magical threats as well as his own youthful naïveté. To truly tap into his power, this orphan, who always kept people at arm’s length, will have to learn what family really is.
